Program Overview
Woodland Learning Collective is a homeschool enrichment program that seeks to encourage children’s curiosity and wonder of the natural world through exploration in science and nature-based play. By coming together as a community of learners we are able to support children’s home academic and holistic growth by providing a dynamic space where children have the openness to pursue their interests and learn as an individual and with peers.
We operate on a 40-acre property rich in pinyon-juniper woodlands in the high desert of southwest Colorado. Our group blends nature-based play with a Montessori-inspired work cycle and a community mindset to support whole-child growth.
Students in the Woodland Learning Collective are considered homeschool students. More information, including Colorado homeschool requirements and parent responsibility, can be found on the Colorado Department of Education website: https://www.cde.state.co.us/choice/homeschool
